I wanted to install php7.3 on Ubuntu 18.04 using the following ppa:
sudo apt-get install python-software-properties
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ondrej/php
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install -y php7.3-fpm
So far it worked flawlessly, but when I doapt upgrade
now it forces me to installapache2-bin
andphp8.0
, which I do not want as I am using Nginx.
How can I upgrade now without installing new packages I do not want?
apt upgrade
install(update) also dependenc packages.. try upgrade manuallysudo apt --only-upgrade install Package
or useapt-mark hold Package
- this will prevent the package from being automatically installed, upgraded or removed
