read and wirte into images folder on the network using php wamp server

I have an online website hosted locally using a wamp server and there is an images folder on the local network where I need to read images from it and upload images to it. The network administrator gives me access to read and write to the folder using username and password.

I make a search and found that we can use an alias (is this will help in my case?)
